Hi everybody,

since I have a complex network with many clients, is there the possibility to change the icon (first column on the left in 'clients' view) to visually divide them between different types (cameras, TVs, laptops, phones, home automation...).

Thanks

Hi  @Drew_Stafford

It's not under Config page, please choose the client and click the edit button, see below pic:

Then you can configure the type and vender on the following page:

It is possible to edit the icons.  Go to Clients and click on the Client.  In the new popup window, click the edit icon next to the client's name.  In the new window, you can change the icon type.

Thanks.

Unfortunately, when I click on the client a tab on right side opens and appears like this:

I can't see a 'edit icon' command anywhere.

Thank you

If you click Config, what do you have?  I am using the controller v6 software here.

I'm afraid you will have to wait for an answer from another forum member or someone from Tp-Link.

I have understood that I have to change the device type to change the icon, since it is associated to a specific type.

Unfortunately I don't get the way to edit the field device type. Result is that almost all of my clients are 'unknown'.

Anyone who can help?

Thank you

Hi, if I click on 'clients' on left bar, the list of clients appear on main screen.

When I select a client from the list by clicking it, a right column appears but there is no 'edit' command. And by the way, visualization is different respect to the image you posted below (see my post above.. the window is different).

Why? Am I doing someething differently respect to what you do?

Thanks

Hi  @Drew_Stafford

Thanks for the reply.

Please let us know the type of controller(hardware or software) you are using and its firmware version. Thanks.

Hi,

I am using the web interface (https://euw1-festa-cloud.tplinkcloud.com/#controller), and if I click up right on the 3 dots and 'about', version is 1.5.0.

Do I need to do anything to use latest version?

Thank you
