Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.0.2

Hi,

I'm a small residential user with about 12 cameras, currently on two NVRs.

I've got this new VIGI NVR to replace another NVR which was no longer recording etc... and consolidate things on later.

Anyway I've put a HD in and added my cameras and the basics are working well enough - recording and I can play back using the VIGI Phone App. or the NVR box.

What's giving me a problem is the VMS PC Client - I cannot see any cameras !

I can access the VIGI NVR through the browser and it's "ok" (it's a bit crap tbh) but there's no playback there :(

What I want to do is use my PC to playback the stored video and/or save parts of that to my PC HD if I need to - should be simple no ?

Anyway, I don't know what I am doing wrong but as mentioned above - no camera's on the client, some pics:

Any ideas where I might be going wrong?

Aside from the NVR this is all running on one pc by the way...

Thanks in advance.

@Bebe1980 If you added it in your VIGI app, can you try signing into the PC VMS client with your TP-Link ID instead of the local VMS?

Hi .... @NeilR_M

OK - tried to add it and "NVR firmware needed update" - updated - recognised by the phone app - added a site to VIGI VMS cloud.

Logged into VIGI VMS cloud does a live view and playback - so great!

So err ... do I need this VIGI VMS PC Client thing on the pc or is it easier just to access things from the VIGI VMS Cloud ?

Thanks a lot  yes

@Bebe1980 Glad to hear you were able to access the playback!

No, the VIGI VMS Cloud should be everything you need for Residential needs.

  @Bebe1980

Hi...

have to admit I am struggling with this VIGI NVR it's quite slow and the PTZ control on the NVR is a bit jumpy but it does seem to work...

I've uninstalled the VIGI VMS and VIGI VMS PC Client... and am just using the web view...

I've had to change around my network to get the cameras working reasonably but now I cannot find PTZ control on the web interface ?

Is there no PTZ control available from the web interace or is the control hidden somewhere, like on the NVR screen ?

Thank you

@Bebe1980 The PTZ control is within the Device's Settings.
