Firmware Version: 1.20.12

Hello,

I am experiencing a persistent adoption loop issue with a downstream switch and its connected APs whenever I upgrade the firmware on my main aggregation switch.

Network Topology:

- Gateway/Router: ER8411

- Controller Version: 6.1.11

- Core/Aggregation Switch (SW1): TL-SX3008F (Connects to ER8411 and distributes to SW2 & SW3)

- Downstream Switch A (SW2): TL-SG3210XHP-M2 (Connects directly to SW1 via 10G uplink)

- Downstream Switch B (SW3): TL-SG2210MP (Connects directly to SW1 via 1G uplink)

The Issue:

My network is stable when SW1 is on firmware 1.20.7.

However, whenever I update SW1 to any newer firmware (tested with 1.20.12 and 1.20.14), SW2 immediately enters an "Adoption Loop." It fails to adopt, retries, and fails again indefinitely. Consequently, all Access Points connected to SW2 also fail to adopt.

Strangely, SW3 (which is also connected to SW1) remains perfectly stable and adopts without issue on the newer SW1 firmware.

Hardware and Firmware Status:

SW1 (Agg Switch)

- Model: TL-SX3008F v1.20

- Working Firmware: 1.20.7

- Issue Firmware: All versions above 1.20.7

SW2

- Model: TL-SG3210XHP-M2 v1.0

- Firmware: 1.0.17

SW3

- Model: TL-SG2210MP v1.0

- Firmware: 1.0.13

Troubleshooting Steps Taken:

- Downgrade: Downgrading SW1 back to firmware 1.20.7 immediately resolves the issue; SW2 adopts instantly.

- Forget/Re-adopt: While on the new SW1 firmware, I tried removing SW2 from the controller and re-adopting it. This failed.

- Hard Reset: I performed a physical reset on SW2. This did not resolve the adoption loop while SW1 was on the newer firmware.

Has anyone experienced issues with the TL-SG3210XHP-M2 negotiating with the SX3008F on newer firmware versions?
