Hi

I have AC50 Controller with 4x CAP300 and 1x CAP1750 connected.
When there is more Traffic (about 20-30 Clients) the Accesspoints disconnectted because of timeout.
The LED is flashing and you can´t ping them.
After 3sek the AP connect successfully again.
The Firmware is the latest (1.1.0)
With the first Firmware that comes original on the AC50 + CAPs I dont´t have noticed such issues.
What can i do? Would i be better with a AC500?

Best Regards
Christoph

1. The latest firmware for AC50 is available at http://www.tp-link.de/download/AC50.html#Firmware. Make sure your current firmware is 1.0.0 Build 20170706

2. Make sure you have updated the CAPs to the latest firmwares. CAP300 available at http://www.tp-link.de/download/CAP300.html#Firmware CAP1750 available at http://www.tp-link.de/download/CAP1750.html#Firmware

. AC50 can manage up to 50 CAPs. AC500 can manage up to 500 CAPs. So AC50 is good enough for your network.

4. You said When there is more Traffic (about 20-30 Clients) the Accesspoints disconnectted because of timeout. Will this issue happen only when 20-30 clients connect to the CAPs at the same time?

Hi Christoph, This is a known issue. We will release an official firmware on TP-Link website for this bug fix this week. Please allow some time. Sorry for the trouble.

Hi

...I'am still waiting for the new firmware because the bug is very annoying.
Is there any workaround?
I guess maybe it had to do with the Roaming? When to many Clients roam at the same time? But i don't now.

@Carat1
1+2 The latest Firmware ist already updated and this was maybe the problem.
3. Is this the only difference between AC50 and AC500? Or is the AC500 faster or had more Features?
4. 20-30 Clients in the whole system, about 5-10 Clients at the same time per AP

Best Regards
Christoph

The biggest difference between AC500 and AC50 is that AC500 manages more CAPs than AC50. Besides, AC500 can be rack-mounting while AC50 can only be put in desktop. AC500 adopts Gigabit Ethernet Port and AC50 owns 10/100Mbps Ethernet Port. They have almost the same features. Hi Chris, do you notice a beta firmware for this issue has already been posted here: http://forum.tp-link.com/showthread.php?100677-CAP1750_V1_170901_Beta-Fix-the-problem-that-CAP1750-will-automatically-reboot-in-some-high-client-density-environment

Hi
I install the Beta Firmware for the CAP1750 and it works fine for me.
What about the Firmware for the CAP300 ? They had the same Problem...

Applying the beta firmware worked for me... I only have 1 CAP1750 and it seemed like whenever more than 5 devices were connected at any given time, the AP would show as being disconnected on the AC50 and physically looked like it was being rebooted. Thank goodness I found this thread as I was getting ready to return the whole setup and now I'll be getting another CAP1750. When is that firmware going to be official?
