Hello,
I was looking at purchasing the TL-ER6120 VPN Router, but I need to have 2 vlans. VLAN1 for the main network, and VLAN2 for an isolated (internet only) wifi guest network. I would be using an EAP320 or similar device to provide wifi access to the network. The EAP320 would have an ssid for VLAN1 and a separate ssid for VLAN2 (guest wifi - isolated). (I will also be purchasing a 24 port switch, but my budget for the switch is approximately $250.)

Do I have to have an L3 switch to do this? What is the most affordable 24 port tp-link switch that would support what I am trying to do here.

Hope this makes sense.

Thanks

Would TL-SG2424 work in this scenario?

See http://forum.tp-link.com/showthread.php?99022-How-to-configure-Multiple-SSIDs-work-with-Multiple-VLANs-based-on-EAP-products

Yes, you would need an L3 or L2+ switch. As I understand, T1600G (TL-SG2424) would not work in the scenario described in the FAQ, since it lacks a DHCP server. Thats why I prefer a VLAN-capable router to setup Multi-SSID instead of an TL-ER6120 with routes and multi-nets NAT , but I don't have the requirement of a VPN router, so YMMV.
