Hello all,
Last year we tested out a couple of EAP 330s, they seemed to work great and we proceed with upgrading them across our network. We now have roughly 25-30 of them, and are seeing frequent issues across the board with them.
Most of the WAPs are set up very similar, but are located at different locations. Generally they are set up with 2 SSIDs and each SSID is configured to a different VLAN, one corporate one guest.
At least once a day one or more of the WAPs will have an SSID that quits working. If the corporate SSID quits the SSID is still being broadcast but you cannot connect, seemingly it does not try to authenticate. If the guest SSID quits you can connect, but either not pull dhcp or traffic does not get out.
Performing a soft reboot from the controller will fix this every time, however its becoming a real problem as we are now rebooting 3-5 WAPs manually every day. I should also mention we do have the reboot schedule set up to reboot daily.
Most of the 330s are on 1.1.2 Build 20170711, recently i upgraded a couple of the problem children to 1.2.0 build 20170711, hoping that would solve the issue, it has not.
Any help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

Hi,

The lasted firmware is EAP330(US)_V1_170930 (V1 and V2 can both upgrade because they share the same hardware solution)

It seems that different SSID has different issue. Did you set these SSIDs in different radio? (2.4G and 5G)
As I know, the 2.4G radio is more susceptible by environment disturbance, such as wifi interference of other APs or Routers, bluetooth, microwave oven. You can check the environment disturbance by using tools like wifi anylazer or inSSIDer. Then try to close the disturbance source.

And you can try to close some advanced function of EAP Controller, such as Airtime fairness, Band steering, Load balance. I know from experience these functions may cause some wireless issue.

Yes the guest is on 2.4 and the corporate is on 5, however it is random which one will not work...
I'll have to double check Airtime fairness, Band steering, Load balance; but i don't believe i have any of those enabled.
