Can I use this EAP to broaden the reach of existing wireless on the Archer C9? If not, is there a router/switch that it will work with?

EAP is an enterprise product. For home use, simply use Range Extender at
http://www.tp-link.com/en/products/list-10.html or desktop AP at
http://www.tp-link.com/en/products/list-12.html

So is that a no? I already have the 1200. If I cannot use it to extend an existing signal, I will set up another wireless network on it for that side of the house through EAP.

An EAP is an access point and can't extend a wireless signal wirelessly. It can extend wireless coverage by connecting it to your Archer C9 by cable. Just set up the same SSID as on the Archer and connect the EAP to one of the Archer's LAN ports using an Ethernet cable to extend the existing network.

You're welcome. Make sure to choose different wireless channels, but the same SSID to get best results.
