Support to make EAP Controller software open-source?
Model :
Hardware Version :
Firmware Version :
ISP :
The TP-LINK EAP series products are the most cost effective WiFi solutions available today. A small business can easily afford to deploy centrally managed WiFi across even large campuses. Unfortunately, the EAP Controller software lacks a few critical features and functions that would elevate the EAP products to a standard-setting position within the market place.
It would be greatly beneficial to TP-LINK and EAP customers if the EAP Controller software were open-sourced so that the community could help implement a few badly needed enhancements.
My list of priority features and functions include:
- Add a portal binding to Local User credentials so each portal has a separate pool of users
- Add a portal binding to Voucher credentials so each portal has a separate pool of vouchers
- Binding built-in portals to one or more IP addresses
- Create an API or plug-in framework to allow easily creating custom portal extensions and authentication methods
