470T: Failover problem because WAN router redirects to self when there is no connection

I have two LTE WAN routers and the TL-R470T+ v4.0.
When one of the routers looses connection it starts redirecting to itself. Therefore the load balancer doesn't register them as offline and still redirects half of the traffic to the offline router.
Is there any way to fix this?
