Hi everyone

Let me first start by admitting that I am probably in way over my head here.  I have been dealing with issues with network coverage and I spent some time with my local IT person and he recommended me to get the hardware that I have now.

I have created a visual of what I am trying to setup, and I am not sure how to do what I am looking for.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have a TL-ER6020 VPN Router supporting 2 EAP225 Access Points.  I can get my primary network up and running on 2.4 and 5.8 GHz, and I can get a secondary network up and running on only 2.4 GHz for the devices that aren't smart enough for the 5.8 band.  What I would like to do is setup a "Guest" network that cannot see any of the devices on the other 2 networks but can get to the outside world.  Also, I am running into an issue where some game consoles are stating that they are a "NAT Type C" and therefore cannot get to the online gaming servers (and the kids are starting to revolt).  I think I need to setup a WiFi in a DMZ area, but I cannot get it to route to the internet.  Due to the way my house is built, if I use 1 access point there are major holes in the coverage, so I need to have both access points running the main networks (the DMZ can be just 1 access point).  I have looked for tutorials and have not been very successful.

Thanks for your help!

See this posting in the Knowledge Base about implementing Multi-SSIDs and different networks on EAPs using TL-ER6020/6120 routers.

I did notice that I forgot to add that I had the TL-1016PE Smart Switch between the gateway and the access points, so I at least have that much.  But it looks like I need a L2+ / L3 switch in order to isolate the networks?  So then would I then be required to put the physical connections that I want to isolate into that switch as well?

For version 1 of TL-ER6020 with port VLANs: yes. I have not followed changes in TL-ER6020 version 2 which supports 802.1Q VLANs, maybe some other user can clarify on this further. Which HW version do you have?

Hmmm, according to support site, there appears to be only one version of the 1016PE, and the latest firmware for matches the other V3 switches (port can be removed from vlan 1, port of vlan 1 can be tagged or untagged....missed that last detail, in some environments I can see not wanting management to be a native vlan on any port.  Of course nothing wrong with saying....let's plug this new switch in, but before it can be used, I have to walk all the way across campus to hit management vlan from my desktop.  since I'm not sure how to do vlans with a usb ethernet adaper on my chromebook. (but, it'd be swell, if I did...)

I'm still stuck with my 1016DE V2 though....not being like my SG105E V3, or my 2 SG108 E V3 and 1 SG108 V2....which did take the V3 firmware and now identifies as V3. Might not matter anyways, I seem to have lost the rack ears for it....
