Hi all,

I'm trying for more than one week to configure 2 SSID's on a full TP-link environment. Without luck for the visitors network...
I've based myself on the full procedure at: https://www.tp-link.com/ae/faq-1849.html

Here's the setup

Router (TL-R480T+) which is DHCP server on native VLAN 1 for business (192 segment)

Switch (T2600G-28MPS) which is DHCP server on IP segment for visitors (172 segment)

EAP320 access points with 2 SSID's: business VLANID:1 / visitors VLANID:50
The AP's themselves receive a DHCP address in the 192 range.

I got everything working for VLAN ID, you can connect and have internet access. ALthough for the visitors, they can connect, receive valid DHCP IP and config, but can't connect to the internet.

Seems to be a routing issue...
Anybody any ideas ?
The strange thing is that on the multi-nat of the switch I can add the visitors range but only assign it to the WAN interface and not the LAN interface according to the procedure at:
https://www.tp-link.com/ae/faq-1849.html

You don't need to care about the multi-nat of the router, I think you are use the TL-R480T+ V9, just choose the WAN port which used to access the internet.

You can connect a PC to the guest network and do the test. Firstly the PC should get the IP of 172 segment.

Use the PC to ping your router's LAN IP. If it can ping, the problem should be related to the router. Check the static routing and multi-nat.

If it cannot ping, use the PC to ping your switch's IP of VLAN 50. If it can ping, the problem should be between the router and the switch. Check the static routing 0.0.0.0/0, next hop = router's LAN IP.

Hi Kristof_Poppe

If your guest can get IP from router T480T+, but as you designed the guest should get IP from the switch which is 172 segment.

Did you follow the FAQ step by step? Is there anything different? About the Multi-Nets NAT setting. Maybe we need more screenshots of your setting to help you.

Hi all.

If above (first comments) info has been checked, It seems that the configuration of DHCP SERVER in the switch may be missing or there is a typo on DNS server or GATEWAY.

This!

You should have 2 IP interfaces for T2600G-28MPS. VLAN50 is in 172 segment. VLAN 1 is in 192 segment. PC's default gateway should be switch's VLAN 50 IP-address. You must have "ip route 0.0.0.0 0.0.0.0 <router LAN IP>". Router should have static route for LAN interface (172.x.x.x/x with gateway of T2600G-28MPS VLAN1 IP-address).
