Model: EAP225
Hardware Version: V3
Firmware Version: Not Known

I'm having some issues powering/connecting to my EAP 225 V3 Access Point from my NetGear GS308P switch https://www.netgear.com/support/product/GS308P.aspx.

I can get power to the EAP but no data connection when I plut it in. Seems to work fine with the supplied PoE injector. What am I missing?

Any help appreciated.

So power gets to the EAP AP from your NetGear Switch, right? Green light on EAP is on? Are you able to ping the EAP from your laptop/PC by the default IP and can you access the admin web interface of the EAP? If not make sure that EAP's default IP is in the same subnet (e.g. 192.168.x.y) as your Internet Router ... you can make an IP scan of your network in order to see what's active there... (e.g. using Advanced IP Scanner) Cheers Manfred

Dont use the PoE adapter and PoE switch at the same time. (If that is your case)
