Can i mesh EAP225-outdoor with a EAP110-outdoor?
Hi,
It is possible the mesh the eap225-outdoor with the eap110-outdoor? And if it's possible, how? Mayby we can mesh the eap225-outdoor with a RE200 extender?

Now only EAP245v3, EAP225-outdoor and EAP225v3 support mesh function. EAP110-outdoor doesn't support mesh function, so you cannot use EAP110-outdoor to build mesh network with EAP225-outdoor.
BTW, if we want to use mesh network, we need to use Omada Controller 2.7 or later version. So EAP products cannot work with RE200 when using mesh network.

When comes mesh for EAP245v3
What about EAP225 v1 v2 and EAP245 V1? Does it end up with updates for these products already?

Mesh for EAP 225 V3 was released in Omada Controller a few days ago. I assume the same for EAP245. Try using the batch upgrade in controller see if the update is available. It’s is not shown on the TP-Link support pages yet.

No udate for EAP245v3 on OC200 or tp-link support site.

That's strange, as @forrest mentioned EAP245 above I assumed it would have been released at the same time as EAP225. I did mine through OC200, site settings > batch upgrade and 'Check for firmware upgrade'. OC200 running 1.1.0 Build 20190220 Rel.41433.
I have 3 x EAP225(EU)-V3 now all running 2.5.0 Build 20190404 Rel. 57144, with mesh function enabled.
Maybe 245 not fully rolled out yet.

Hi,
The firmware of EAP225v has been released; for the EAP245v3, we still need some time because there are some bugs for the firmware.

Any EAP225-OUTDOOR with the proper firmware version, can do MESH ?
I mean, about the hardware version too.
Thanks

As forrest wrote, EAP225-Outdoor supports mesh networks.
Currently, there is only one hardware version (V1) of EAP225-Outdoor. If you have still the initial firmware on an older EAP225-Outdoor, it can not support mesh until you upgrade to a newer (latest) firmware.

Hi, i have a question also. please help me,
I have 3 EAP225 outdoor units and i want to set up a Mesh network. This will be an outdoor network maybe about 50-70 meters between each unit, and the fist one(eap225) will be attach to network cable(LAN) to a switch and this switch is getting the IP's and internet from the router(Mikrotik) and the 2nd AP (eap225) will be getting the connection from the 1st AP tru wireless, and then the 3rd AP(eap225) will get its connection to the 2nd AP tru wireless also. my question are:
1. Should i First Upgrade my eap225 outdoor to a latest firmware?
2. how would i connect the 2nd and 3rd AP wirelessly? is it automatically be connected when we use same SSID?, because it seems that eap255 had no bridge mode. (sorry i only use comfast as bridge before)
3. can i just use omada software and install it to my pc to setup the mesh? What would happen to the 2nd and 3rd AP if will turn off my computer where the omada software is installed? can i still connect my phone to the 3rd AP even if no omada?
4.What if after these setup with omada software on my pc, and later i will install the hardware omada oc200 on the network, do i need to configure again?
5. I want these three AP will get the ip from my mikrotik router and these three AP will be use as HOTPOT voucher type password.. is it possible? will the mesh will be compromise?
6. Can i make two Root AP just for backup incase the other Root AP will be down.
7.My 6th question is just for another idea come into my mind.
Can we use AP CPE220,CPE510,or WBS510 will be the source AP/Internet (it is connected by lan cable from the router) and throw the signal around 1km to the next AP (eap225) and these eap225 will be the Root AP for next mesh setup on that location?
Thank you in advance..

I personally recommend connecting each AP by it's Ethernet port to your network, adopting it into the Omada software, and upgrading the firmware (which answers #1) before trying to deploy the AP.
1. I always update to the latest firmware, and recommend it.
2. When you set up mesh in the Omada software, other APs will connect to it. Apparently, the startup sequence for the EAP255-Outdoor includes looking for mesh root nodes.
3. You must use the Omada software (either as a download, or hardware device) to setup and control mesh. If the Omada software goes down, in my experience so does the mesh. I don't find this to be true for APs that are not using mesh.
4. On this, I'm not sure. Look into backup/restore to transfer the settings somehow maybe.
5. Sorry, no idea on this one, I'm not familiar with mikrotik.
6. EAP225-Outdoor APs that are configured for mesh will become a Root AP if they can, through their ethernet port, see the Internet. That's all a Root AP is, one that has a direct connection to the Internet.
