Quick question;  Can I assign a private IP address to the WAN port of the TL-R600VPN router?

 

MY plan is to place this router between my company's private network and a seperate private network with a PLC, VFD & HMI Monitor to keep the constant traffic from the PLC seperate from our company's network.

 

I would use a 1:1 NAT table of static IP addresses to communicate with the PLC components when programming or pulling data from the PLC.  10. addresses on the company side & 192. addresses on the machine (PLC) side.

Of course you can assign a private IP address to the WAN port of the TL-R600VPN router. It only requires that WAN IP is in the different subnet with LAN IP.
