EAP 245 V1 Mesh
EAP 245 V1 Mesh
Hi, are there any plans to add the mesh function to the EAP 245 V1 once? Because I would like to connect my EAP 225 Outdoor in this way and no longer with a powerline adapter!

Hello @Lukass ,
Now only EAP225-Outdoor and EAP225v3 support mesh feature, and we have the plan to add mesh feature on the EAP245v3. We have no plan to add the feature on the EAP245v1 for now.
If you want to learn more about mesh, you can refer to the following website:

and why no support for the V1? On your info page it states it's not related to hardware...so why not? Just to get us buy new stuff?

Hi, I spent €90 (EU) last March on an access point (EAP 245v1) which has less functionality than an access point that costs €54 (EAP 225v3), that's weird! so now I have to buy a newer version of eap which is less expensive with more functionality? while this can be added in the software, pls just add this function!

Hi @Lukass ,
We will consider this and consult it with our PE colleagues, thanks for your feedback.

If you want to deploy mesh netwrok, you must have two or more EAP devices. Now you have only one EAP, you cannot deploy mesh.
