Hi.  I have purchased an EAP110-Outdoor as part of an outdoor network extension I want to set up.  I have it working fine when I connect the PoE Adapter using Ethernet to my Router. The problem with this is that it means I have cable all over my house connecting the PoE Adapter - and that's before I have to use cable to connect to the Outdoor Access Point.

 

My question is whether ther is a way to connect the PoE Adapter wirelessly to my router - would a Range Extender work?  I could then plug the adapter into the Range Extender and just have wiring from the PoE Adapter to the External Access Point?

Thanks for the suggestion. The Range Extender option with the PoE adapter seems to work fine. Pretty stable so far.

Hi,

 

When you connect the PoE Adapter to the Range Extender, it should work normally. You can try it.

You could use powerline adaptors instead of a range extender, this should add some reliability.

 

This may not be what you want to hear but it looks like a mesh set up would benefit you more. Do you have any other EAP's?
