Model: EAP245
Hardware Version: V3
Firmware Version: 2.0.0 Build 20180601 Rel.52885

Hi all,

We have purchased new Lenovo laptops and when the users are trying to connect to wifi they get 169.254.x.x IPs.

But all the Dell laptops we are using at the moment are connected to the wifi and gets a correct IP in the network 192.168.14.0/24

Note: DHCP server is a windows server 2016 in the 192.168.14.0/24 network.

The OMADA controller version is 2.6.0

The Accesspoint is EAP245 V3, 2.0.0 Build 20180601 Rel.52885

As I see the versions are a bit older for both the controller and the AP. I would like to know will this issue be fixed if we upgrade the firmware versions of both AP and controller.

If so to which version should we upgrade?  Is there a sequence of versions where we should follow in upgrading or can we directly upgrade to the latest versions of both controller and AP.

Please share your expert opinion.

Thank you.

@lordhww

Your firmware is too old, please upgrade the firmware to the latest version. We have fixed some bugs and added some new features on the new firmware.

After the upgrade, if the problem still exists, please tell us.

Note: Before you upgrade the firmware, we recommend you to backup the configuration of the Controller.
