Model: TL-R600VPN
Hardware Version: V4
Firmware Version: 4.0.3 Build 20190227 Rel.48206

I recently purchased the TL-R600VPN to replace my Asus Rt-N56U and have been having a weird DNS issue. Sometimes DNS names would resolve, sometimes they wont and only IP address would work. I switched to google DNS servers 8.8.8.8/8.8.4.4 for trouble shooting rather than comcast's 75.75.75.75, worked for abit. For a modem i have the Netgear CM1150V Hardware v1.01 Firmware v2.02.04. The router is plugged into ethernet port 1 on the modem. On the router, port 1 is set to WAN  while ports 2-4 are set to LAN. All set to auto negotiate, All reading full duplex. I have 2 switches with assorted wired devices, an EAP225 and a NAS. Haven't touched stock routing table, changed LAN IP address to 192.168.1.1 instead 0f x.x.0.1 with subnet of 255.255.255.0. WAN set to dynamic, Auto obtained external IP, subnet of 255.255.254.0, DNS set to 8.8.8.8/8.8.4.4.

@Downsbri000

Try to ping your DNS server, if you get the high delay. Maybe the problem is related to network environment. You can try to contact your ISP for help.
