Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: EAP330(EU)_V1_1.4.0 Build 20180925

Hi Support,

I have two EAP330.

When connecting to them in W10 with laptop I get "can't connect to network". This happens frequently. Also the connection drops and laptop wants to reconnect.

I have set the EAP330 both to default to test if there is a setting that is wrong. Still I get "can't connect to network".

How can you help me?

Thanks,

Sebastiaan.

@sebastiaan

Except for the Win10, other client devices should not meet the disconnection issue.

In this situation, I think the disconnection issue is related to the NIC of the Win10. You can try to upgrade the driver of the NIC.

Are you using the 5.8GHz or the 2.4GHz? Be sure to configure them with different SSID's -- Do not use band steering. Often Win10 will do this if there is a lot of interference on the wireless channel. Try to use 5.8GHz (if your laptop supports it), try changing the channel on the AP, and make sure your NIC drivers are up to date. Only use 20MHz bandwidth on 2.4GHz. You can try 20,40,and 80 on the 5.8GHz. I find using "Auto" channel works well for me for 5GHz, but not for 2.4. For 2.4 I have a lot of neighbors on channel 1 and 11 and unknown interference on channel 6. So manually set my 2.4 channels to 3 and 9 (for my two EAP225's).

@JSchnee21, the 5.8 GHz frequency band is not allowed for public use in the EU. The RLAN frequency band in the EU is limited to 5150 to 5710 MHz. The thread opener uses EU firmware.

If an Extended Service Set (same ESSID among different APs) and Band Steering don't work with your Win 10 machine, get a driver update for your WiFi NIC (or even better: install Linux).
