@noel_avat, EAPs don't use 30-30-30-reset. To reset an EAP, press the RESET button for 5 to 7 seconds until LEDs start to blink.

Afterwards, the EAP uses factory default settings (DHCP with fall-back IP 192.168.0.254). If you connect the EAP to your network, it should receive an IP through DHCP and show up in Omada Controller running in the same subnet.

If Omada Controller is running in another subnet, you need to use the Omada Discovery Utility or DHCP option 138 to link the EAP with Omada controller.

@noel_avat, an EAP uses DHCP by default with fall-back to IP 192.168.0.254.

To find out whether the cause of the issue is your DHCP server, connect the EAP directly to your PC. Set your PC to static IP 192.168.0.10 and reboot the EAP to force it to use the fall-back IP. Then load the web UI by addressing 192.168.0.254 in your browser.

If this works, the problem is your DHCP server. In this case, reconnect the EAP to your network, reboot it and use the Omada Discovery Utility to link the EAP with the controller. As soon as it has been discovered and linked to the controller, set a static IP for the EAP.

I repeat myself again and again: Do not use DHCP for stationary devices such as switches, APs, servers or any other non-mobile devices. Always use static IPs for them. If you insist to use DHCP, map the MAC address of stationary devices to a static IP in the DHCP server.
