@MarkMeij, did you set up and enable the EAP's SSID by logging into the web UI the first time or if using the Omada controller did you define a SSID?

If so, do you use non-standard characters in the SSID? Can any other device find the SSID?

We would need a bit more information about what you were doing exactly to be able to help.

@R1D2

Thank for the reply, I'm a little new to this, and I'm trying to translate some of your phrases to Dutch to understand a little more.

I was installing the EAP110, I did it before in my parents house, now in my own appartment, but I can't figure out what I am doing wrong. The light on the EAP is solid green, no flasing or whats so ever. I used different LAN ports on my router, switched of the power multiple times.

When I open the Wifi settings on my laptop, the SSID doesn't appear. Not on my laptop, not on my girlfriends laptop, and none of our iPhones.

I tried to download the Omada app, but that doesn't make sence either. I tried to use: search for other networks, and typed the SSID, but... Not found.

Hope thats enough info.

Mark

@MarkMeij,

so you didn't configure the EAP110?

You need to set at least a password for access to the EAP's web interface in order to turn the WLAN on. To do so:

  1. Connect the EAP to your laptop/PC by cable.
  2. Set your laptop's IP address to 192.168.0.10.
  3. Connect to the EAP by addressing the web interface in a browser using http://192.168.0.254.
  4. Set up the username, password, SSID.
  5. Disconnect the EAP from the laptop and plug it into your network.
  6. Change back the IP of your laptop t what it was before (dynamic IP address/DHCP most probably).
