Traffic Limit in a day
Hi All
Can this device limit the total traffic to (say) 3Gb per day
If client reach the limit, he/she have to wait for another day.
So the input resources from ISP can be alocated to other clients
Thx

@geraikenangan, no. EAPs can limit the download/upload rates, but they can't limit the total volume.

@geraikenangan, this is correct. For vouchers and other auth schemes such as local user you can limit total traffic on a per-user base.
But you asked for a device limit of total traffic: this is not possible to limit volume on a per-device base (according to its MAC address).

Oh forgive me for miss understanding...
btw i need to setting the portal Local User like this
- Authentication Timeout: 30 days
- Rate Limit (Download) 512Kbps
- Rate Limit (Upload): 1Mbps (for mobile gaming)
- Traffic Limit (Total traffic): 90GB (this is for 30 days)
Add feature:
- Traffic Limit (Total traffic): 3GB/day
I have satisfy with the option right now
But if the option can be add per day, it will be great

@geraikenangan, in my understanding, once the limit is reached the user cannot use the account anymore to access the network:
@jonas, please can you enlighten us? Will the user account be unuseable forever once the traffic limit is reached or will the limit be reset after the authentication timed out?

Hii @R1D2
Sorry for the delay reply...
i need to setting the portal Local User like this
This the setting for 2 username
- Username: Beta
- Authentication Timeout: 2020-06-30
- Traffic Limit: 90000 MBytes (I do choose this)
- Traffic Limit per Day: ____ GBytes
- Reset time: __:__ in 24 hour clock
- Username: Gamma
- Authentication Timeout: 2020-06-30
- Traffic Limit: _____ MBytes
- Traffic Limit per Day: 3000 MBytes (I do choose this)
- Reset time: 00:01 in 24 hour clock
Note
Traffic Limit and Traffic Limit per Day is an option that I have to choose (Say, radio button maybe?)
Reset time is a sub option from Traffic Limit per Day
So why is is importance to have Traffic Limit per Day?
If Beta have total traffic 90 GBytes in 2020-06-25 then Beta do not have internet access from that day
If Gamma have total traffic 3 GBytes at 21:25 then Gamma have to wait 2 hour 35 menit without internet access and still can have internet access to 2020-06-30
So as administrator, we have to setting the internet behavior of our user.
so from that scenario, I better choose Traffic Limit per Day for our user
HAve I enlighten everyone?

Yes, the clients can't use this account to pass the authentication and access the innternet if it reaches the traffic limit. Then clients need to change another voucher code or account. Just like it is expired.
