@Roger518 - I'm not sure I'm "very familiar" with it, but I have a few in my network. Yes, to use the Mesh function requires you to run the Omada Controller software. You can either purchase an OC200 (OC300 now), or run the controller software on a Windows PC. Either one. But the Omada software is what controls and oversees the Mesh.

Option B: you could try using a TP-Link WR902AC 802.11ac travel router. It has a 'repeater router' function where it connects to the WiFi and repeats it locally. I use this in my RV sometimes at RV parks.

Good luck!

Hi,

When you have the MESH setup so your second EAP225 is receiving wirelessly, how do you keep the Mesh network running constantly when you turn your computer off?

Can the OC200 Controller fix this?

Yes, the OC200/OC300 will always keep the Controller online, no need to run a computer.

As @jonas said, yes.

Unless you want to try and make the software run on a Raspberry Pi (which you CAN do), just get the OC200/300. They make this whole Mesh process MUCH easier, IMHO.

Indeed, one of the best $87 I've spent (OC-200)
