Hello support/salesmen,

I would like to know if your company has/sells any models of routers which have the following feature :-

- The router forces the network clients/workstations to be a fixed/static IP address e.g. 192.168.1.8 assigned by DHCP server of the router. The reason : to avoid the users from changing the network card interface configuration to be any other IP addresses

@bruceleung2000, you can't force a client device to use an IP assigned by DHCP if the client is configured to not use DHCP. On a client device the user can still set a static IP and in this case the client device will not generate a DHCP request at all. So, no change (with any router/DHCP server!) to force static IPs via DHCP.

The only way to force a client to use a certain IP is in switches which support ACLs. You can create an ACL to allow only a certain IP be used on a specific port. But for wireless clients this is not possible.
