Model: TL-R470T+
Hardware Version: V6
Firmware Version: 6.0.4 Build 20200313 Rel.32850

Hello everyone!

WAN1 (Main). DHCP 192.168.1.2/24 GW 192.168.1.1

WAN2 (Backup). DHCP 192.168.2.2/24 GW 192.168.2.1

LAN 192.168.111.1/24

Link backup: Backup when any primary WANs fail

WAN1 Detection: Auto

WAN2: Detection: Always online

I need to change WAN1 to WAN2 when WAN1 is offline.

Statuses (detection) of WAN's is changing correctly but router dont change connection.

Failover works only when the WAN1 port if physically disconnected. I case when port is active, but internet is offline router doesnt use WAN2.

broken heart

@RootFog

Try to change WAN2 detection to Auto. And you may need to wait a few minutes for WAN2 online when WAN1 internet offline.

@Andone Thanks for your reply.

After a series of tests, I returned these routers to the seller and bought Mikrotik. Switching occurs with a delay of 15 seconds. The configuration involves writing a small script and knowledge of network processes, but you will agree that waiting a few minutes for switching is not exactly what you expect from failover mode.
