Omada Controller - disable function wherein files reverts back to original after windows restart
Hi all,
I'm current using Omada Controller Version: 3.2.10. Deployed a voucher type authentication. I had a little knowledge on HTML and CSS, and I managed to edit the portal page directly (by navigating to C:\Program Files (x86)\TP-LINK\EAP Controller\work\com.tp-link.eap.web\webapp\WEB-INF\static\portal). I've succesfully update the file and all the functionalities works perfectly. My problem was the file (entry.html) keeps reverting back to original state (loosing the code I've added) when I restart my computer (BTW, I've installed the Omada controller on windows 10 machine). Is there a settings to prevent this?
Thanks.

I've tried the external portal that you mentioned. Here is the guide I followed: https://www.tp-link.com/us/support/faq/2390/.
FAQ 2390 refers to External RADIUS Server authentication, but not to External Portal Server authentication.
See FAQ https://www.tp-link.com/en/support/faq/2274/ for the latter. No RADIUS server is needed, your portal needs to implement the authentication scheme.
Also see this thread if you have questions about latest API, could be that it has changed since v3.1.4. Note that I don't use Omada portals at all; we have our own Captive Portal running on our own proprietary hardware, so I'm not familiar with the nitty-gritty details of the current Omada external portal API.

@Raeggan, there is no such setting. If you are familiar with Java web archives you could modify the web archive from which the web server's documents are generated on start of Omada Controller. But with every software upgrade all changes are lost again.
The usual way to integrate a customized portal is to use an external portal which interacts with Omada Controller (see the Omada Software Controller User's Guide and the TP-Link knowledge base for more information about external portals).

Hi @R1D2,
Thank you for sharing your insight. I've tried the external portal that you mentioned. Here is the guide I followed: https://www.tp-link.com/us/support/faq/2390/.
As per checking, it requires a Radius server which I'm not familiar with. Could you please guide me to the right place. I just want to implement my custom portal.
