EAP 245 - 5ghz channel issue
I have 3 of these AP's and i've attempted to configure them on seperate channels for the 80mhz width option.
Therefore, channels configured are (I'm in UK)
Floor 1: 36
Floor 2: 100
Floor 3: 52
I have no idea why, but floor 2 is configured as 100 but is broadcasting as channel 48. It is shown as configured as 100 in the omada config, but in the AP list its showing as 48 and when i scan for devices it is showing as 48 too.
I'm therefore concerned as to why incase it is creating interferance with the other AP's too and affecting throughput.
Thank you

@Yannie Hello, to update, i simply went back into the config and checked the channel was still set to 100 DFS (which is was), despite showing 48 in the AP table and scan. I just simply pressed apply again and had the OK overlay message.
After the poll update for the UI, it was now showing the correct channel and devices reconnected at 100 DFS and it stayed this way since.
I did this before i saw your message, but will try your suggestion if it happens again, thanks
It seems like a bug to me.
This is my config if anyone at TP-Link wants to try and fix this bug.

@bp1000, changes in WiFi settings take some time until they show up in the controller. That's normal and caused by the asychronous protocol used to communicate settings an statuses between controller and EAPs.

I am having the same issue with 5Ghz DFS channels reverting back to the 36-44 ranges when set (in my case) to channels 64 & 104. EAP225 V3 & EAP 245 V3, with latest firmware. Strangley the 225 exhibited this behaviour for the last 6 months, whereas the 245 has only just started doing it with the latest firmware. Clearly something is not quite right in the firmware. I have had both for 18 months and both are wired and both use the OC200.
By the way, why when you choose 80Mhz width does the channels selection not update and still shows available channels in the 20\40 range? I would have thought if you choose the width then the channels should update to reflect what is available in that range? Also, why are the channels above 128 not available for UK/EU. Channel's above that are legal.

I agree - why when selecting 80mhz exclusively, the channels selection should switch to 80mhz bands
And also for me, this channel has only recently started happening

@bp1000 Thats both of us then, perhaps we should raise a support ticket
@forrest @jonas Can you look into this, bug is changing 5Ghz channels to the default channels 36-44 for no apparant reason. Oh update: It also appears WiFi connection is now dropping off temporarily too, this is since the last firmware updates in the past month.
Also, when choosing the following, channel list should be updated/populated with only the 5ghz channels that are specific to the bandwidth
i.e
20Hz - all channels shown
40Hz - limited channels 38,46,54,62,102,110,118,126,134
80hz - limited channels 42,58, 106, 122 ,138
not exhaustive list but you get the idea, if a user chooses 80hz bandwidth then channels 42,58,106,138(not used in EAP for same strange reason) should only be available to choose, not the whole 20Hz width
At the moment my 245 EAP is using 80Hz, channel 104, how is that, when its not a 80hz channel?
