Using Omada Controller 4.1.5, the auto backup feature is failing to execute.

My logs state:

[Failed]Auto Backup failed to execute with generating file AutoBackup failed because autobackup schedule time was expired.

I thought it might have been due to importing my backup from 3.2.10 so I disabled Auto Backups and re-enabled them but it continues to fail.  Here are my settings:

@mbentley

 I have the same problem.  Had the same thought as you about the conversion so I reset my OC200 back to factory and manually set it up this AM.  Just turned on autobackup and set it to run everyday and left the time at 12 noon which was the default time and let it go.

It still failed as did the emails to alert me of the failure....... angry

I can confirm this failure. I also get

[Failed]Auto Backup failed to execute with generating file AutoBackup failed because autobackup schedule time was expired.

@ASCII, has been reported already to TP-Link (as well as the missing DST setting). Will be fixed in next version according to TP-Link support.

@R1D2

I have same problem since upgrade 4.1.5.

[Failed]Auto Backup failed to execute with generating file AutoBackup failed because autobackup schedule time was expired.

Also the system time is not real. I setup EST Canadatime but still 1 hour late. Please patch asap.

Ehm, I'm not from TP-Link, I can't patch anything.

To make auto-backup working I suggest the work-around to set the Controller's timezone to UTC (Universal Time Coordinated) and only the Site's timezone to whatever you have +1 hour (to get DST) until TP-Link has fixed the bug.

@Maleko, did you read the simple work-around to make auto-backups work in post #6?

@R1D2

Yes, and didn't make any difference to me. No matter what timezone it is etc.

@Maleko, did you change the Site's or the Controller's timezone to UTC?

Did you wait for the auto-backup to be performed at UTC (not local time)?

For me it works on OC200 as well as with SW controller.

OC200:

SW controller:

@R1D2 Ah, I was setting the Sites time zone, not the controller. Once I changed it in the controller settings it worked after setting a test time.
