Omada SDN controller for Linux?
Is there an anticipated release date for the SDN software controller for Linux from TP-Link rather than the community Linux version?

Hi matt25,
it has been released already here: https://www.tp-link.com/en/support/download/omada-software-controller/#Controller_Software

@R1D2 Thank You! I wasn't scrolling far enough to get past all the windows releases. :)

Was the shift from included to external dependencies intentional? I had to install mongodb, and change the symlink for java from version 11 to version 8 on my debian 10 system. It wasn't a huge deal, but in the previous version it included these inside the Omada package.

I guess so. The old controller also had always external dependencies, e.g. for jsvc, curl and netstat. That's why I made the community version: to remove binaries which had been bundled with the controller in the past and to get rid of those architecture dependencies.

@R1D2 It's not really a problem, just different from the past.
I was a little frustrated for a bit at the Debian packagers though. There is no mongodb in the official Debian 10/Buster repos, and the community version of Mongodb is at 4.x now. I ended up adding the Debian 9 repo to my apt list and then was able to get Mongodb 3.x. I also had to change the symlink in my alternatives directory for Java to version 8 instead of 11.
Was there something different I should have done instead for either of those dependencies?
