Model: TL-ER6120
Hardware Version: V2
Firmware Version: 2.0.4 Build 20200313 Rel.56019

Hi,

So Ive had the TL-ER6120 v2.0 and 2 4g connections.. Initial setup was perfect turned on load balancing and all worked well getting 120mbps (peak hours) to 220mbps (off peak)

Then the load balancing seemed to have stopped working - started only getting 40mbps.

I tested each modem seperatlely and still get 60mbps+ each modem.

So I reset everything - no luck

Updated firmware on TL-ER6120 v2.0 - no luck

purchased 2 new modems and set them up...individually again 60mbps but through the load balancer 40 mbps.

both Wan are setup and the load balancing enabled etc.

Im just looking to see if anyone may have a reason for this.  Spoke to technical support and they said that the load balancer will not increase your download and upload speed, but from all the research ive done, the load balancer aggragates their internet connection and mine was working fine till recently.

Anyone have any suggestions to help?  Thank you

@ANTHONY123

Hi,

As I know, the load balancing on TP-Link router works based on sessions, one session will only go through one WAN, so the test method matters a lot.

To check whether load balancing works, you can test the speed through P2P download such as BiTorrent. Also, try to disable application optimized routing to have a check.

Good luck!
