Model: EAP225-Outdoor
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.20.0

My EAP225-Outdoor has seperated frequency between 2.4 and 5  Ghz.  I found the problem on 2.4 Ghz .

 - When ran system for a while, from ping test to AP will found " Destination host unreachable " and when did speed test on that time.  The Speed will drop from namally speed at

40-60 Mbps to  0-4 Mbps. This behavior will disappeared after 2-3 minutes but will happen again.

- My EAP ran on 1.20.0 but I also found this problem on 1.7.0 also.

- My EAP ran on channel 9 /40 Mhz

Any suggestions are welcome.

Have someone found the same problem with me ?

Thank you in advance.

Using 40 MHz channel width in the 2.4 GHz band requires allocation of total 8 channels out of the available 11 (US) or 13 (EU) channels.

Set 20 MHz channel width in the 2.4 GHz frequency band.

Next, channel 9 and sometimes others are used by many (non-WiFi) consumer devices such as microwave ovens, wireless AV equipment, cordless telephones, smart power meters, remote controls for kid's toys, baby monitors, Bluetooth devices, ZigBee devices, garage doors, car alarms etc. They all can add interferences to your WiFi network, especially if you use 40 MHz channel width.

@R1D2

Thanks for your suggestions.

I have tried with the 20 MHz bandwidth but the problem still there.I tested on the open space ( rural field) and already confirmed check with the wifi monitoring tool. There is no any channel close to my selected.

I read other forum that found the same problem with eap245. I think, this is a tp-link major bug.

Of course, I have compared with the other bands ex. Xiaomi, engenius with the same setting but didn't found the issue. This isn't interference problem.

Any suggestions or ideas are welcome. Thanks

@Poon Is it possible to test with short cables? I bought some "made in china" cable and I had similar problem on 5Ghz band

@Photob

      I think it does not concern with the cable. My installation used very short cable not more than 2 meters
