TL-R470T+ 802.1Q Configuration
How do I configure this router for 802.1Q VLAN tagging? I attempted to follow these instructions https://www.tp-link.com/us/support/faq/2246/ but fail at the point it asks me to goto VLAN > 802.1Q VLAN as I do not have this menu and I can not find a setting to enable this menu.
Thanks

Hello,
Read the intruction carefully, locate to Configuring 80.21Q VLAN on the router intead of Configuring 80.21Q VLAN on the switch
So it should be under Network for the VLAN configuration. Cheers!

@Yannie There is no such menu on the TL-R470T+. Does the mean that the TL-R470T+ does not support 802.1Q VLAN Tagging?

What's the hardware version of your TL-R470T+ router?
If it is not V6, it doesn't support VLAN.

@Yannie It is a V6.
The question becomes does this support 802.1Q VLAN tagging or does it only have port VLAN support?
I am trying to setup a trunk connection between the TL-R470T+ and another 802.1Q VLAN tagging capable switch. This is not working.
Thanks.

Did you try changing the port connected to the switch as Tag port on the router?
Say port 3 works as LAN port and it's connected to the tagging capable switch, you could set the port 3 as Tag port in the corresponding VLAN.

This device does not suport 802.1Q VLAN tagging I have investigated all options and using Wireshark can see that the device is not adding the VLAN tags. This means that the device can not be used to trunk two VLANS via the same port to a second switch.
