Model: Deco M9 Plus
Hardware Version: V2
Firmware Version: 1.4.0 Build 20200324 Rel 53529

Hi, I'm trying to setup a long distance distributed Deco M9 Plus mesh newtork, with 2x CPE510 units acting as Ethernet Backhaul, but connecting the remote Deco M9 currently causes issues with the whole network.

I initially created the network with a router, the main Deco M9 in AP mode (connected to the router) and 2 other Deco M9s added to the network in the same building.

I have then added a CPE510 via Ethernet Cable to the port of the main Deco M9. CPE510 configured in AP mode.

Another CPE510 at the other location in Client mode. A laptop connection to at the remote location (via cable to CPE or via unmannaged switch) results in an issued DHCP IP and internet connection and no apparent issues with internet or mesh at base location.

If I then connect one of the previously configured Deco M9 units to the remote location (connected to network via unmanaged switch (or directly to CPE510), the Deco has a red light, does allow local wifi connections, but doesn't appear to give internet connection and also causes connection issues with devices at the base location (including knocking the other slaved M9 offline). All recovers to operating network when I disconnect the remote Deco again.

I'm creating this network as I want to be able to use devices in each location and be able to move them between seemlessly.

Deco M9 Plus (EU) units:

- FCC ID: TE7m9PLUSV2

- Firmware 1.4.0 Build 20200324 Rel 53529

CPE510 units:

- Model: CPE510 v3.20

- Firmware: 2.2.0 Build 20190806 Rel. 75210 (4555)

Any help appreciated. Many thanks

Dear @OneTime,

The CPE510 V3 has fixed the issue that CPE may failed to connect with TP-Link Deco products.

Please check your region's official website and upgrade the firmware of your CPE510.

Best regards.
