Model: EAP245
Hardware Version: V3
Firmware Version: 1.7

After upgrading to new controller supporting SDNeverything worked fine, all EAPS were working fine, now EAPS show disconnected, the controller states the EAP needs an Firmware upgrade but the eap is already on the latest firmware. No addoption possible. Please help.

Check connectivity between EAPs and the controller. If EAPs can't reach the controller, they will change into Disconnected state.

No, it's not at latest firmware. Latest firmware for EAP245 V3 is v2.20.0. The controller states correctly that the EAP needs to be upgraded. You can do so when EAPs change to Connected state again (that means when you could re-establish a network connection from EAPs to the controller again).

Did you read the Omada Controller Upgrade Guide before upgrading?

have fixed the firmware issues, all eap are on latest firmware now. Strangest thing, have re-installed controller software, software sees the eaps without any issues, they all show connected. my machine hosting the controller has a dedicated IP. when i reboot all eaps are in a disconnected state again. wierdest thing is when i then de-install the software, reinstall it sees all eaps without any issues again, until i restart the controller software. ?? any suggestions? ps. all eaps are in the same vlan..

Uhm, when you reboot what? The machine running Omada Controller? Of course the EAPs will be disconnected then! You did disconnect the controller from the EAPs when rebooting the server or shutting down the controller. Just wait until the EAPs sync with controller when restarting it. No need to re-install the controller software again to just have EAPs re-connect to the controller. They do so automatically.
