I'm having the same issue with macbook pro, EAP225s. So far I've tried 5.0.3, 5.0.4, 5.0.7, the most recent one seems better than the others but not perfect.

Any help appreciated.

5.0.7 looks like this with some increase in latency:

64 bytes from 195.216.16.129: icmp_seq=1406 ttl=56 time=19.204 ms

64 bytes from 195.216.16.129: icmp_seq=1425 ttl=56 time=18.392 ms

But nowhere near as bad as 5.0.4 where I'd see bigger gaps and lost packets:

Is this still happening? Currently, considering on pickup up 2 EAP245 v3's......

@JojoSocks it seems to be resolved by upgrading my macOS to Monterey (12.2) but I'm away so didn't get a huge period to prove it.

@JojoSocks It's maybe slightly improved, but still not what I'd call usable.

@Alastair799 Yup that's pretty much what I'm seeing. It's better, but still not accebtable.

  @EPerezF

Hey, just wanted to say that i'm also facing this issue.

But my circumstances differ a bit, i'm using two EAP 235 Wall APs, one at every floor, configured via omada software controller, also i don't use any apple computers.

My connection is unstable (massive lags while streaming or video calls for example) and i can reproduce those ping lag Spikes.

Here while pinging my router:

At the time of the tests i was the only one actively using the wifi (there are some devices connected, but no one's interacting with those devices).

Omada controller shows a lot of dropped and retried packets:

This issue is so annoying, hope we can get some help from official tplink support.

Just to provide an update, my EAP-225's are now all on 5.7, my MacBookPro is now on Monterrey 12.2.1 and the problem has gone away.

I've got rock solid ping performance and no video conferencing dropouts so well worth upgrading MacOS.

@Sweep What os are you running, and what network card brand? Maybe we can narrow this down a bit?

@Alastair799 Unfortunately all the Macs we have that are giving issues are unable to upgrade to Monterrey. Oddly enough none of the newer Macs ever had the issue even on older releases.

@nixcamic Hi, just reading through the release notes of the EAP660HD(EU)_V1_1.1.1 firmware it states: Fixed the bug that Tx packet loss rate and error rate of about 25% under 5GHz.

Did you happen to check if this works? Seems like tp-link found something.
