Model: TL-SG1024DE
Hardware Version: V3
Firmware Version: 1.0.1 Build 20180629 Rel.58591

We have 3 x TL-SG1024DE switches installed in hotel (1 on each floor) which give internet to our guest rooms, 2 ports per room connected to RJ45 wall sockets, how can i isolate so that ports from one room dont "see" ports of other rooms. Port 1 is our uplink. Thanks

Dear @Nek

how can i isolate so that ports from one room dont "see" ports of other rooms. Port 1 is our uplink. Thanks

The 802.1Q VLAN may help. Devices from different VLANs cannot achieve Layer 2 communication, thus you can group and isolate devices to meet your demands.

Here is the example guide for your reference.

How to configure 802.1Q VLAN on the TP-Link Easy Smart/Unmanaged Pro Switches

Hope this information is helpful. Best Regards!

@Fae

Thanks Fae, i have done as described but how can i be sure it is isolated? I ping some devices with static ips from the other switches and packages receive and are sent without loss. i have also this software that scans ips in the network and it can find still all. Is this how it should be?

@Nek

May I have the network topology and your configuration settings to locate the issue?
