Hardware Version: V2
Firmware Version:

Hello,

I have read multiple threads but perhaps I have missed the one where I setup up multiple VLAN's on a single physical port.

How do I configure a physical port on the T1600G-28TS.

Port 1 --> Router (Configured for VLAN default & VLAN ID 5)

Port 2 --> AP (VLAN Default & VLAN ID 5)

If I connect the AP directly into the same router port the switch was copnnected to the VLANs work with no problem.  So it is my Switch that is not passing the VLAN traffic correclty.  I just do not see how I can configure mutliple VLANs on a single physical port on this switch.

What is the difference between 802.1Q VLAN & Protocol VLAN. Am i supposed to use Protocal VLAN for multiple LVAN on a single port?

Thanks

Dear @xcSTRIKER,

What is the difference between 802.1Q VLAN & Protocol VLAN. Am i supposed to use Protocal VLAN for multiple LVAN on a single port?

802.1Q VLAN is the port-based VLAN technology, while the Protocol VLAN is Protocol-based VLAN technology.

Protocol VLAN uses the protocol to determine one device belongs to which specific VLAN.

How do I configure a physical port on the T1600G-28TS.

Port 1 --> Router (Configured for VLAN default & VLAN ID 5)

Port 2 --> AP (VLAN Default & VLAN ID 5)

I just do not see how I can configure mutliple VLANs on a single physical port on this switch.

On the T1600 switch, create VLAN 5 and select both Port1 and Port2 as Tagged Port, the port on the router should be tagged as well in VLAN 5. As for the default VLAN 1, you could leave it as default parameters.

Hope this information is helpful.

That worked. I read so many comments about people using both tagged and untagged. This was first information to only use TAGGED ports. It worked instantly. So simple. Thanks alot
