Dear @theGamer,
Both of the two switches are unmanaged switches, plug-and-play, no configuration supported and mainly used to expand the number of Ethernet ports.
The main difference between them is that the TL-SG1016D has a smaller dimension than the TL-SG1016, which is also suitable to be placed on a desktop for usage. Besides, TL-SG1016 V12 and later version support 802.1p/DSCP QoS (enabled by default) while SG1016D doesn't support it.
Generally speaking, if there are VoIP applications or other time-sensitive applications in your network, it's better to choose the SG1016 V12 or above version. Otherwise, you could select one from them as you like.
