Model: TL-SG108E
Hardware Version: V4
Firmware Version: 1.0.0 Build 20181120 Rel.40749

Hi,

i have a strange issue with my TL-SG108E behind my cable box (AVM 6600).

Connection is like this:

Cable --> AVM 6600 --> TL-SG108E --> NAS, Satelite Receiver, etc.

Cable Box is the gateway (192.168.0.1), TL-SG108E was set to 192.168.0.2.

I can access the internet from all devices without problem, all devices behind TL-SG108E can communicate with each other but i cannot access any device behind TL-SG108E from my Cable box!

In the meanwhile i tried upgrading the firmware and did a factory reset. Now the switch works as DHCP client at 192.168.0.47.

When i connect my NAS directly to the cable box i have no problem, but then it is not visible for any device behind the TL-SG108E.

So it seems like TL-SG108E separated the networks here. I did not setup any VLAN.

Also i understand that after a reset, the switch should behave like an unmanaged switch.

Any ideas?

Thanks for your help in advance!

Alex.

Dear @_Alex_,

Please disable Port Based VLAN Configuration to have a check.

If it doesn't help, may I know how you access the devices behind TL-SG108E? Is there showing any error message?

@Fae This did not change anything.

I have investiged further and the problem is, that if you change a device connection, e.g. from TP-Link Switch to AVM router, it takes about 5 Minutes before you can reach the device.

I have tried the same with TL-SG1008D and it shows the same behavior. Could it be that the TP-Link Switches cut some data from the traffic that affect the AVM Mesh?

Regards

Alex.
