hi all,
i get an answer from TP-LINK, 480T+ don't support https url filtering now.
so it only can block http URL.
my suggestion: TP-LINK should add https URL filtering to 480T+ also.

thanks.
it s just a shame......
but how does function the keywords filtering rules?
if i want to block let's say https://mail.google.com/, i give "mail" as keyword and go back to https://mail.google.com/mail/u/0/?tab=wm#inbox, nothnig is blocked?
is there a solution?
thanks for your answer

i think there is not a solution,
in this case, if you enter the key word: 'mail', when you use http://mail.google.com to access, the router will check the key words according to the URL rules.
but if you use https://... to access, the router will ignore it, it doesn't check the key words at all.
because the http and https are different. so if the device doesn't support https filtering, i think no way to block it through url filtering.

I got a new 480T and it appears that the https filtering is still not working with the latest firmware upgrade. Is there a plan for TP Link to make this work correctly?

Hi, i have the exact problem that you guys, cant block sites with https like facebook, google drive etc, with my old dlink lb604 from 2006 i can in Filters-> URL Blocking, but with this routers from now is not possible, i dont know way the hell.

So here's my solution:

1. Buy an old dlink lb604 or
2. use a free account of opendns.com
First you need to configuren your router to serve the dns's of opendns to the clients, then in the dashboard of opendns site you can block sites by categories or enter a site manually.

i hope in the future tp-link or cisco small bussiness have the option to block sites with the url like dlink does.
