Region : Others

Model : TL-ER5120

Hardware Version : V1

Firmware Version : TL-ER5120_V1_120719

ISP : Vivacom

I want to operate the router with static IP allocated by the service provider.

I have the following issue: when the service provider allocates dynamic IP - DHCP client is working normally. However when the service provider allocates Static IP - the router refuses to accept the offered IP address and cannot connect.

The service provider (after even bringing the router to them) traced the issue to the router.

I tend to belive them as when I just put TL-WR740N in the exact same place - the small router accepts the offered address and works just fine.

Do you mean to put the static IP on the WAN and it is not accepted? That 's weird.

It is indeed weird, but it is tested multiple times and unfortunately true.

So far the only fix available is to try to return the router
