TL-R605 IPv6 Support?
TL-R605 IPv6 Support?
I see there is a recent firmware for TL-R605, which fixes a number of issues, but does not yet implement an IPV6 stack.
For me IPV6 support is critical. A lot of providers in Brazil or heavy populated countries have implemented CG-NAT (Carrier Grade NAT), so we don't get a reachable IPv4 on the WAN (but a NAT'ed 100.x.x.x) but a valid IPv6 - which I used to route to my server sitting behind the provider cable modem (previous router).
With many countries and companies moving to an IPv6 implementation as the default, I believe this is becoming more and more critical. We have been told at purchase that this was in development, but no roadmap have been provided.
Should we expect the new firmware version to implement it? Is it being tested currently at TP-Link? When we shoud expect the IPv6 support?

Just to add to my post, the adoption of this is around 30% globally, with gains of latency across the globe.
This is not an isolated use case - this applies to multiple customers in multiple geographies.

@LucianoR I could not agree more, this router needs its IPv6 pronto, or I will be returning it

Same here from Germany. It is absolutely crucial to have v6 support.
I was really astonished as I was not expecting for such a new device not to have v6 support.
Urgently needed

I suggest all sending an e-mail to support.smb@tp-link.com requesting this feature.
I did that and they copied some individuals on the org. This is what they told me:
Dear Customer, Thank you very much for your email requesting information about TP-Link product.
I check with our engineer and the answer is IPv6 is being developed and will be updated in the following software versions. We don't have the exact time for it, because it depends on the R&D. Please follow up our website for this to come.
Thank you and have a great day!

@LucianoR I emailed them yesterday, very brief reply stating can't give a timescale. I asked for broad times, not exact dates, but the question was dismissed.
New router without IPv6 or any indication when we will get it. In 2021, laughable.
