Model: ER7206 (TL-ER7206)
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.0.1 Build 20210113 Rel.35468

I'm are running a network with a combination of static and dynamic IP-addresses.

Managing whis was done via dnsmasq as part of the Asus Merlin router.

Is there a way of doing something simular withing the given TP-link router (i.e. ER7206)? How?

Alternatively, I could install dnsmasq on the Omada controller.

However, that would require some level of integration with the router.

Any suggestions here?

See also attached images:

In addition, it would be great if these MAC-adresses could be translated to their DNS-names.

The controller has all the details - it just needs an ARP request followed with a reverse DNS-resolution.

Anything that could be done here?

I'm running the software controller version 4.2.11 on Ubuntu 20.04.2.

Thank you - Will

I'm running into the same issue. Why can't the controller resolve the local hostnames that it sets? It seems like a major waste to have to run a separate local DHCP server and DNS resolver to get this functionality.
