Model: EAP115
Hardware Version:
Firmware Version:

Just bought this in UK.

I have powered it up with its pwer supply yet I cannot connect to its SSID to configure. All devices that try and connect say DHCP failure. This is without any network cable plugged in.

I have reset it but before I send it back any ideas please?

Dave

Not sure but some ideas... - I suppose you connected via (PoE ) cable and using the correct port on the EAP115? - Have you used the app to configure things correctly? - If you have both your ISP router and AP with DHCP enabled, this might give issues. Make sure the EAP115 has DHCP disabled if so. hope it helps

@DieterV.

Thank you. I went back to it this morning and managed to connect by changing the wi-fi settings on my phone to connect via static IP address in the range 192.168.0.*** which is the range the EAP115 uses.

Once connected I could alter the settings and integrate it into my network.

Cheers,

Dave

@ballibeg Just make sure the AP doesn't use DHCP then since otherwise it would have received a dynamic IP address in that range in the first place (being a client of the network, receiving the IP from your router most likely).

If not it might conflict towards other devices anywhere in the future.
