I have 2x EAP235-Wall and 1 EAP265 HD and an OC200 controller.

 

The EAP235's are hard wired, and I am attempting to get the eAP265 setup in a mesh configuration.

 

Followed the TP link guide, and allow the controller to detect the EAP265 following the guide. But I wasn't able to get it to work.  The controller simply does not see the EAP265 after powering it on.  I was assuming that the EAP235-wall units don't support mesh and that I'd need to pick up another EAP265 and swap one of the wall units out. Can't find any documentation if my assumption is correct though.  Puling out my hair, please help.

MESH is supported by EAP225 / EAP245 / EAP265HD and EAP225-Outdoor.

225/235-wall not support MESH.

Just to 100% confirm, if I replace one of the wired wall units with a EAP-265HD, it will then be able to mesh to the non-wired EAP-265HD properly?

 

So I'd be running:

1 Wired EAP235-Wall

1 Wired EAP-265HD

1 NOT Wired EAP-265HD

Yes, with MESH enabled on OC200 and with the latest fw on all devices.

Can I suggest that marketing materials for the EAP235 be updated to note that this device does not support mesh functionality.
