Hi,

Ive been using the Omada OC200 now for awhile then recenlty stumble accross this issue.

Our guest can only connect to one location via portal (voucher).

Portal - 1 Portal Only for all location

Location A - Connected (WLAN Group A Setting)

Location B- Asking for Voucher, when entered. it say 'The number of users has reached the limit' (WLAN Group B Setting)

Voucher Type - either Limited Usage Counts or Limited Online Users (both 1)

Can someone help me? I think i just missed some settings here.

I'm not quite sure what you mean but whether there is roaming between wlan groups? This is not possible without re-authentication when entering a new WLAN group. TP-LINK sees this as two different networks, so try with only one wlan group.

if you have a limit of 1 then there is no more connection available for the next portal login in the other wlan group

What im curious about is how the Portal Work, this are the SSID & Network (same name) but the WLAN Groups are different.

Is this not supposed to work like im thinking? Should i only choose one WLAN Group?

Thanks!

@shberge

That sound like a bug for me, but anyway for now ill try that. hope this fix soon.

Cuz trying to select a different WLAN GROUP on Portal should be working in same policy.

Well. Thanks!

Yes agree, Had a case 2-3 years ago where I had a number of WLAN groups, so contacted TP-LINK if I had to log in when I roamed between WLAN groups and was then told that it does not work without logging in on the portal again, the portal looks at this as different networks.

But it has gotten better, previously you could not roam between 2.4 and 5 GHz without logging on to the portal again, it is now fixed :-)
