Region : Australia

Model : TL-R600VPN

Hardware Version : V1

Firmware Version :

ISP :

I have just installed a new TL-R600VPN router/switch. The LAN side is working well but I cannot get the WAN side to communicate with my cable modem. My set up is simple as I am just using the TL-R600VPN as a high speed home router switch. I chose this product as it is faster than the cheap routers usually used in homes. I have a 100mb/sec cable connection to my house. So I have set the product to WAN Dynamic addressing but it never talks to the modem. I dont use the VPN capability at all but Is there some VPN parameter that I need to set in order to use the product in its simplest application as a basic router/switch in the home?

i think no need do any configuration if you just want it act as router,, if you replace the router as a PC, the PC can get an IP address from the modem properly???
what's the WAN status? (you can check it from the management page)

I found that life is a lot more simple if you start your devices in the following sequence, router, modem, pc. The sequence is mentioned in the manual on disc, but is missing in the Quick Installation Guide. I use two of these routers and find that if you use that sequence, the router does all the hard work for you.
