I have a OC200 with a switch, router and 2 APs.

 

I was hoping I could mesh the EAP660HD and the EAP245 (the EAP245 will go in the garage).

 

Do BOTH access points need to support Mesh?

 

I see mesh options on my EAP245 with the latest firmware but I am seeing the EAP660 HD has it planned in a future firmware release.

 

Am I out of luck until that new firmware drops?

 

I guess this is what I deserve for assuming that I only needed mesh capability on the one AP.

1. If you want to use the mesh function, all APs need to support mesh.
2. Eap660 does not support mesh yet. I heard from tplink that future firmware will support this function.
