What am I missing?

@Sheridans Do you mean you can't use vpn normally ? Have you checked the WAN IP of your router ? See if your IP is a public IP.
If i look at what is my ip then it shows my publicip. And surfshark also says my traffic isnt secure.
My Wan ip is obtained dynamically and is indeed a public ip.
