Hello Guys,

I have 3 access points EAP225(EU) Ver 3.1 / Firmware 2.5.0 Build 20190404 Rel. 57144(4555).

They are connected to a POE switch (D-Link).

I bought them in 2019 and set them up in Omada Controller software version 3.1.13.

Everything worked well and especially the mesh function which allowed to have a single SSID.

My computer crashed and I forgot to move the Omada Controller Software to my new computer.

Access points currently operate separatelyso I have 3 SSIDs and I would like to go back to one as before.

I did not find OC Software version 3.1.13 so I downloaded the version 3.2.14 but the adoption does not work.

I suspect there is a problem between the versions of the EAP, firmware and OC software, what is your opinion ?

Thank you.

Laurent.

@L627 Hi,

1. You can try to reset the AP and readopt them on your new controller.

2. Try to turn off the firewall and disable the anti-virus on your new PC.

3. When you fail to adopt the AP,will you get any error message on your PC ?

Hello @Yannie,

Thank you for your advices.

I turned off the firewall and Omada Controller Software detected the 3 EAP.

OC requested to enter the user & password that I use to access to settings of the EAP and that worked only for one, for both other I had the message that the user or password is not correct whereas I am sure I entered the correct credentials.

It is strange.

Laurent.

I add that the 3 SSID of the EAPs have disappeared.

I see only one EAP in OCS and it is at "disconnected" status.

@L627

1. You can factory reset the AP and readopt them

2. You can go to Site Settings and then check the device account. Input the device account to adopt them.

Hello @Yannie

I succeded, Thank you for your advices !!

First of all, I had to deactivate the firewall to see the access point in Omada Controller Software.

Even with that I entered the correct passcodes and the adoption didn't work so I had to reset the access points, set the same passcodes and it worked ... it's a mystery.

Now it works, it is the most important.

Do you think there is an advantage in updating the firmware of the access points ?

Laurent

@L627

So, some firmware on your model is not okay with the V3 controller. If you update the firmware to the latest, you gotta update the Controller V4. Check the release note of your firmware. That states the firmware of your device.
